Gahanna is one of the fastest growing, and largest suburbs of the
Metropolitan Columbus area. The city population has grown from 596
residents in 1950 to more than 34,000 in 1997. With well-managed growth
and expansion, excellent city schools, and a convenient location, Gahanna
has a bright future.
Many original buildings remain in the area and can be recognized by
their Victorian architecture. Several local buildings are on the National
Registry of Historic Buildings and Sites.
